Frequently Asked Questions
-
Parents / Legal guardians do attend the tour and must purchase a ticket for each person attending. The ticket price is the same for adults and children ($20 each). While the tours are focused on kids, they are family tours. We want to include you as well!! Please feel free to jump in with questions or comments along the way. Parents are also welcome to test out the goodies we have for the younger kids (dueling swords, ghost hunting equipment, hoop skirts etc).
Adults attending the tour assume responsibility for the behavior and well-being of attending children.

All of our tours are 90 minutes. We try to stick to that time limit though occasionally the tours can go a little bit over- or a little under.
Tours are less than a mile (approximately 9 blocks).
-
All of our tours are walking tours. While we do make exceptions for private tours or special events, all of our tours take place in the French Quarter, walking along the paved sidewalks, squares, and alleys. We follow all wheelchair accessible ramps- though New Orleans sidewalks can be a bit uneven.
-
We do not have a brick and mortar building or shop. Our tours begin at different historic sites in the French Quarter. Upon booking, you will receive an email with the meeting location as well as a link to the location on Google maps. In addition, our guides will contact you 30 minutes before the tour to confirm.
- Our history tours (Tiny Tour, Creole Kids Tour and Teen Tour) begin on the corner of Decatur Street and Dumaine Street by the wonderful Dutch Alley Artists Coop.
- Our Twilight Tour begins at the Old Ursulines Convent.
- Our Spooky Tour begins on the corner of Royal Street and Governor Nichols.
- Our Music Tour begins across from Jackson Square.
Most of our tours end in Jackson Square. The Music Tour, Twilight Tour, and Creole Kids Tour end within blocks of the Square though the exact location varies.

In most cases, advance booking is required. All of our bookings are done through our website. Online booking is available until an hour before the tour’s starting time if space is still available. We recommend booking early as our tours are small and they do fill up fast.
Walk up tours are okay but to guarantee your spot, we recommend advance booking.
We also have Private Tours available on request. For these, email or text us to arrange the day / time.
If you do not see a day / tour / time that you’d like, don’t hesitate to ask! We try to be flexible whenever possible.

Because of the nature of our tours, we do require at least 2 children attend the tour. If you are booking with one child, understand the tour is conditional. We’ll let you know 12 – 24 hours in advance if your booking is at risk of not happening. In that case, we’ll offer you options to reschedule. If that is not possible, we’ll issue a full refund.
-
Tours do not run if there is thunder / lightning, flood watches, or heat advisories. While we don’t necessarily mind those things, children, antiques, and ghost hunting equipment don’t fare as well in such conditions. We’ll try to adjust the start time or reschedule whenever possible. If that is not possible, we will cancel and refund the reservation.
If it starts pouring while touring, we will leave it up to you whether you wish to continue the tour or stop and dry off. If you opt to stop the tour, we will refund your tickets.
We recommend dressing kids for the weather: sunglasses, sunblock, hats, raincoats, umbrellas, waterproof shoes. In the summer, we highly recommend bringing water. Children don’t tend to hydrate as intentionally as adults so we often take a hydration break along tour.

Tips are not included in the ticket price. If you enjoyed your tour, please tip your guide. (Most of the guides have venmo / paypal accounts if cash is not available.) Of course it’s not required but it is definitely appreciated.
-
If you need to cancel your reservation, we will issue a full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before the tour’s starting time. Because we’re a tiny business, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible.
