Welcome to Tulane! Welcome to New Orleans!
As an alumna of Tulane (class of '98- eeek!!), I'd like to welcome all incoming students and visiting families to the city. I moved to New Orleans 20 years ago- sight unseen- and never left. This is a great place to go to college, a great place to live, and a great excuse to visit your kids as often as possible.
To help you get acquainted with this new city, I'd like to offer you a tour of the French Quarter. As a former history major, I was immediately captivated by New Orleans. It seems like a place frozen in time. The more I learn about the city's past, the more I want to know. It truly is a city like no other.
The tours we offer are focused on the history, culture, and geography of the French Quarter. We have a variety of tours for kids of all ages. For the little ones coming along, we have an interactive, hands on history tour: the Creole Kids Tour. We also started a kid friendly, fun ghost hunt of the French Quarter for kids 5 - 10 years old, the Spooky Tour. Our Teen Tour for high school and college kids delves even deeper into our past, giving a broader context and more details about how we came to be.
