I'm a licensed elementary school teacher (K - 8) with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education- with over a decade in the classroom!

I started French Quartour Kids in 2012. It was inspired by my friends at A Street Tour Named Desire, the first bicycle tour company in New Orleans. (They are FANTASTIC!!) They kept getting requests from customers wanting to bring their kids on their bike tours. At the time, I was teaching 3rd grade in a charter school- and ready for a break from the endless testing and stress.

Starting a small business did not involve much testing beyond my Tour Guide License but it's been full of challenges along the way. Ultimately, I've let the kids - and parents- guide me. Kids are creative, silly, and imaginative. They've come up with great ideas over the years. The Spooky Ghost Hunt was the brainchild of several kids on tour. I was hesitant but I'm so glad I listened to them because it's a magical experience! Parents have been great with feedback- and with the sharing of dad jokes!

In 2026, I decided to return to my home state of Massachusetts and trade in my hoop skirt for my teacher tools. I'm hoping to start kids tours in New Bedford, MA- and a ghost hunt in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard. Stay tuned!! And Thank You!!! I am forever grateful to the families, schools, colleagues, and community support over these past 14 years. It's an unusual idea but it's been successful because of all of you!!
