All of our tours take place in the French Quarter but the specific meeting spot is different, depending on the tour.  

The Creole Kids Tour meets on the corner of Decatur Street and Dumaine Street, in Dutch Alley. The location by Google Maps is 

here. It ends at the Hermann-Grima House at 820 St. Louis Street. 

The Spooky Ghost Hunt Tour begins at 1140 Royal Street. The ending depends where the ghosts lead us... (though usually near Jackson Square!)

The Twilight Tour begins outside the Old Ursulines Convent on the corner of Chartres Street and Ursulines Ave. It ends on Royal Street near St. Philip.

Unfortunately, because we do not have a brick & mortar, we do not have a bathroom. There are shockingly clean public restrooms along Decatur Street (on Decatur and St. Philip Street & Decatur next to the big steps, across from Jackson Square). Thank you French Market employees!!

Local restaurants will usually, graciously throw mercy on you if you buy a water or something or leave a tip. But please use the bathroom before the tour.

This is our most common question! Because we're all teachers, we are adept at adjusting the tour for the age level, dialing up or down the historical context, the hands on portions, the silly jokes / age appropriate references. 

Because our Creole Kids Tour has a younger kid adaptation (The Pirate Treasure Hunt), we have all the goodies to include that history to keep your younger one engaged. 

For the ghost tours, younger kids tend to be the most "sensitive" which adds to the spookiness! The tours aren't scary but we keep a close eye on the kids' eyes to see if we need to dial down any spookiness. Younger kids seem surprisingly okay with stuff that would have terrified me!! Parents might be surprised. (I had one child who brought his ghost ON THE PLANE- went through TSA with it- and onto the tour!! The parents didn't even realize it!!)

All that said, you know your kids best. Will your younger one whine if they're bored or left out? Will your older one roll their eyes and give away anything a younger child might not think too critically about? 

While most kids enjoy splashing through puddles-- and we do get about 5 feet of rain a year, we cannot run the tours if it's pouring outside because we have electrical equipment as well as fragile antiques that are not waterproof. 

If rain is forecast for your tour time, we'll reach out the night before and try to offer alternative options- a different day or different starting time. If it's pouring and you're unable to reschedule, we'll cancel and refund the tour.

If it starts raining on tour, we will keep touring until you tell us to stop! If we have to stop partway through, we'll cancel and refund your tickets. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to stay and get soaked because they spent money. 

Guides will still get paid even if we have to cancel partway through the tour- but customers will determine if we need to stop. 

New Orleans heat is no joke! We try to schedule tours during the "coolest" times of the day- early or in the evening. Everyone really should bring a bottle of cold water and drink it thoughout the tour. We'll stay in the shade as much as possible but please take precautions. If there is a heat advisory and the "Real Feel" is over 100 degrees, we might try to reschedule. We want everyone to have fun. 

(October and March are the PERFECT months in New Orleans!!)

We push a cart throughout the tour so we follow all ramps and avoid stairs. That said, Pirates Alley (on the Creole Kids Tour, After Dark, and Spooky Tour) has uneven flagstones, as well as open gutters that make wheelchairs difficult to navigate without help.  We can end the tour at a different spot if need be.
