Kids use a timeline in Jackson Square to learn who colonized New Orleans, when, and why.

Creole Kids Tour

On this 90 minute tour, kids will be transported back to the "Golden Era" of New Orleans, the 1830s.

We lead kids from the riverfront through our old city streets, showing them how our land and life developed here.

Kids interact with the past, reenact the past in a hands-on, engaging way.  Kids will analyze maps, primary sources, and artifacts from the past. We paint a picture of life in 19th century New Orleans- for better or worse. For them to decide.

If schedules allow, we'll visit the courtyard of the Hermann-Grima House and step inside the bedroom of an enslaved child who once lived at the property.  â€‹Check times. Advance Booking Required
